Saying Antarctica is “off the beaten path” is a bit of an understatement

Saying Antarctica is “off the beaten path” is a bit of an understatement. As the most isolated continent on Earth, it has no permanent residents. But Antarctica is a hub for conducting research on how humans affect the planet, which is why environmental scientist Kirstie Jones-Williams is heading there. And she wants 5 volunteers to join her for a month-long, first-of-its kind scientific study. While there, you'll investigate the presence of microplastics in the interior of the continent, in partnership with @OceanConservancy. ⁣ ⁣ While this may not be for the faint of heart, this is your chance to make a major impact on how we interact with our planet. ⁣ ⁣ Visit the link in our bio now so you can be part of Kirstie’s team. Apply by 11:59pm EDT on October 8, 2019, terms apply.
