Why Slack is mandatory for your Travel Agency
So I just came back from Portland, Jamaica for a quick vacation. The entire 5 days I was in contact with my team via Slack.
Slack is a messaging system only for your agency, that works on desktops and smartphones everywhere.
Here are just a few ways your travel agency can use it to keep everyone on the same page:
- Assign new leads to agents.
- Conduct meetings with agents that work from home.
- Relay information to the office while you're on the back of an elephant (I actually had to do this once).
- See who is in office or online.
- Share new supplier offers, discounts, deals or coupons with everyone in the office at once.
Slack is free, and any Travel Agency can signup in 5 minutes.
We use Slack to keep everyone on the team informed on new things, and conduct virtual meetings every day one-on-one, or make phone or video calls right from it with colleagues.
My typical day looks like this - wake up, roll over, reach for my phone, check email, and then start chatting with the team via Slack -- all before getting out of bed.
It's ingrained in our culture, and we even have integrations so when someone signs up on our website, we get alerted in Slack. When a new customer service request comes in, we get that alert too.
So start using Slack for your agency today!
